At Tyndale Vets we want to offer you and your animals the best possible care. To help achieve this we have chosen legitimate interest to process your data and provide communications we feel would be beneficial to yourself and your animals. These include:

Reminders about annual appointments such as attestation (VAN) numbers and heard health plans.

News and information about talks, courses or events we are running.

Please note you can opt out of these at any time by unsubscribing or contacting the practice to ask to be removed. If you decide to opt-out of these messages, we will continue to send ‘service communications’ such as vaccine or treatment reminders.
Tyndale Vets has CCTV in operation at our practice both inside and outside the building. CCTV will capture images of you in real time and is stored on our system for 30 days. This is in place for security reasons and to ensure the health and safety of our employees. Signs are in place to inform you where recording is taking place.
While using our website we will automatically collect information such as IP address, internet service provider & type of device you use. We also use Google Analytics to understand how our website is being used, you can view Google’s Privacy Policy on their website.
Some of your data is necessary to enable us to provide our service to you. If requested we will keep your data minimal, however contact details, payment details and clinical records are legally required to enable us to provide you with our services.
We do not collect or use ‘special category’ data, such as religion, sexuality, or human health data.
Who might we share your information with?
Tyndale Vets Ltd. will never sell your data to any third party. However, we do share necessary data with some third parties as an essential part of being able to carry out our services to you and your animals. These include:
Laboratories – to be able to arrange tests or services and obtain results.
APHA – to be able to submit TB test reports.
Your insurer – to be able to give them the required information to process any claims.
Banks and payment service providers – to process payments and refunds where necessary.
Credit reference services – to be able to collect a credit reference for you or your business.
Debt collection services – in the unfortunate instance we have to refer your debt, to enable them to collect this on our part.
Communication services – SMS, WhatsApp, email or social media enquiries either sent or received may include personal details which you have included, these are stored on that specific platform. These details cannot be accessed by individuals outside of our organisation however our IT company may see personal information if providing IT support.
Law enforcement agencies – if we receive a request to assist with any investigation.
Other service providers – to carry out any required contractual work with you.

Analytics and search engine providers – to assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our website.
Mailing companies – to send you information in your legitimate interest about courses, events, government funding or reminders. You can opt out of these at any time.

Where is your data stored?

Our electronic information is kept on secure servers, and any archived paperwork is locked away with limited access. We may transfer your data outside the EEA for purposes such as animal transport/export, but only upon your explicit instruction.

How long do we store your information for?
We will retain your information for the duration of your time as our client. Should you decide to move to another practice, we will deactivate your account upon request. This deactivation will store your account in our system's background, accessible only through a request to our Practice Management System but would allow us to reinstate your account if ever required. If you wish for us to permanently delete or anonymise your data, please let us know.
What are your rights?
To be informed about how your data is being used, most of which is informed in this policy.
To access the personal information we hold about you. Any access request will be processed as required by law, within 30 days.
To rectify any inaccurate or incomplete information we hold. If any of your data needs to be changed, please contact a member of our support staff team.
To request that your data stop being processed for marketing purposes.
To request that your data stop being processed on the grounds of legitimate interest, provided there are no compelling reasons for that processing.
To request that your data stop being processed for research purposes, unless it is necessary in the public interest.
To have your data erased completely upon request, provided it is no longer necessary for us to provide any agreed services to you.
