Sick camelids & emergency care

We know that when you have a sick animal or an emergency it is important that you can get hold of a vet that you can trust and that can attend quickly. Our large team of vets at Tyndale all have experience of dealing with sick camelids and emergencies which means we can get to you as quickly as possible when you need us.

If your animals require further investigations at the practice we have an in-house biochemistry blood machine, PCV (packed cell volume) to check for anaemia, a microscope and equipment to look at skin scrapes, faecal egg counts and blood smears. We have a weekday daily courier service for any samples which are required to go to an external lab and we can also work with other local veterinary centres if x-ray, CT or MRI imaging if required for further work up. Our vets often carry ultrasound scanners which can be used as required for further imaging on farm if we think it will help with getting a diagnosis.
