Our vet techs are fully trained by our vets to carry out disbudding for your calves.

RoMS accredited Mobility scoring

Our vet techs are RoMS trained for mobility scoring and can deliver this service as either part of your supermarket contract requirements or to identify lame cows for the foot trimmer to treat.

Vaccinations

Vaccinating your herd or flock can be time consuming. We can help with giving annual boosters to your animals and you can be confident that the correct dose and route of administration has been followed.

Our techs are experienced at handling animals and if you need that extra pair of hands for a job, we can help you with that.

Weighing

Calculating daily liveweight gains (DLWG) is a useful tool to check that your youngstock is growing efficiently to maximise profitability but it is a time consuming task. We can arrange to weigh growing animals at suitable intervals and plot their growth.

Body condition scoring

We can body condition score (BCS) your herd for your supermarket contract or at key points during the production cycle to identify animals that might pose a problem e.g. BCS too low pre-service or too high pre-calving. This allows timely interventions to help prevent issues such as ketosis, LDAs or poor fertility.

Our vet techs are also trained to BCS sheep and can do this at key stages in the year to maximise profitability e.g. pre-tupping condition to allow for best fertility.
